Where to locate your chassis number

Check the following locations on the right-hand side, viewed from the operator’s position:

  • On the chassis or transmission housing, near or below the access step.
  • On the right-front frame rail, close to the front-axle support.
  • On the identification plate near the access step, engine-bay bulkhead, or right cab pillar.
  • On older machines, on the clutch housing near the accelerator pedal or on the front-axle support.

The number may be stamped directly into the metal or shown on a plate marked VIN, PIN, Fahrgestellnummer, Numero di telaio, or Serial Number.

Do not confuse the chassis number with the separate engine serial number.
